The Avionics for NextGen Conference brings together hundreds of professionals and thought leaders from the aviation community as we continue to move forward into the future of NextGen technology. The conference provides an in-depth look into the technical aspects of NextGen and valuable perspectives on how NextGen standards will be achieved. Explore the technologies driving the future of aviation in sessions led by experts and innovators that will address equipment requirements, deliver new insight and updates on technologies in the field, and explore solutions to challenges that arise with the implementation of NextGen technology. And we will cover the NextGen Advisory Committee's four priorities for deployment; Multiple Runway Operations, Performance Based Navigation, DataComm and Surface Operations.
The Avionics for NextGen 2016 conference will bring together a diverse set of perspectives discussing one common goal: the 21st century modernization of global flight operations.
The FAA is among several civil aviation regulatory agencies introducing a system of systems approach to modernizing the way aircraft are operated, managed and sequence within airspace. Driving the NextGen, Single European Sky and other air transportation system modernization programs around the world is the continued evolution of avionics communications, navigation and surveillance (CNS) elements, which will be discussed in depth through panel discussions and presentations at the conference. The ability of different aircraft types to take comply with the Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B) Out mandates, the use of Controller to Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC) and Optimized Profile Descents (OPDs), are among the initiatives that will also be discussed at Avionics for NextGen 2016.
